Talented and capable Americans with disabilities can feel left out of job search narratives that only cater to their able bodied brethren. Not that they couldn’t apply there, but that its easy to get lost in the noise and be unsure of whether jobs on sites that don’t specify their interest in hiring Americans with disabilities are actually interested in their applications. Below we identify 5 great job search sites specifically interested in making hiring for Americans with disabilities their top priority.

abilityJOBS – It bills itself as the largest job search site for people with disabilities.  It’s focus is wide, hiring for jobs in government, non-profit and business. As such it presents a great spectrum of opportunities and employers.  With jobs for small businesses up until Dartmouth and Amazon, it is definitely worth a look see.

CareerCaste Disability Network – Part of the CareerCaste Niche Networks, it aims to reduce the high unemployment rate of college grads with disabilities by connecting them with proactive employers.  They have some great industry partners and some diverse placements, yet also semi-sporadic, not hitting all 50 states but hitting about 15 plus countries.  Worth a shot to see if your right job is here depending on your field and area.

Enable America – Dedicated to helping people with disabilities find employment and live independently.  While they have other aspects to their endeavor they boast a decent list of jobs based on regional area and occupation.  One point to note, its a bit more low-fy so bring your classic internet from 2007 hat.

RecruitDisability – a no-fee job board connecting employers, employment organizations, and candidates.  They post jobs from admin, to manufacturing, IT, to healthcare and more. A classic job search board based on region and occupational interest.

disabledperson – helping disabled people around the U.S. find jobs since 2002.  They are a non-profit whose site has kept up with the times.  Type in your zip code or the type of job you are looking for and get access to the jobs you need.
